Gosh, it’s so exciting to have Spring upon us and planning events for warmer times!  We have several initiatives that really would appreciate members joining committees to help out.  Below are listed the Committees and how you can help. Remember…not only will you be helping out, you’ll be making lots of connections with members, not-yet-members, and community members!

1. Golf Tournament Committee – To benefit the Scholarship Program and Chamber initiatives
   June 21st, Airway Meadows Golf Club; 7:45 shotgun; $110 per player. Registration information at https://www.sgfchamber.com/golf/
   * Committee members needed to:
   a. Invite golfers and sponsors – help spread the word! Poster attached.
   b. Help the day of the golf event
   
2. Concerts in the Park – Wednesday nights 6-8pm; July 9th-August 27th
   * Committee Meeting: April 24th, 8am at Common Roots Brewing Company Cafe.
   * Committee members needed to:
   a. Obtain sponsors!
   b. Help with traffic safety – This is an important issue. Ideas welcome!
   
3. Membership Committee
   * Committee leader and members needed to manage outreach – mailings, social media, communications, and events
   * Benefit: Meet new businesses and community members. A great opportunity to promote your business and our community.
4. Board Members
   * Join the Chamber Board to help coordinate and approve initiatives to promote our community.
   * Meetings are the second Monday of each month at 5:30. Meet either at SGF Police Department or the Moreau Community Center.
5. Holiday Tree Lighting
   * Committee members to help coordinate another great holiday event in South Glens Falls.

BTW, the Chamber is a proud sponsor of the Earth Day Clean-up Day on April 26th. Teams are welcome to join us to help make our community beautiful in honor of Earth Day! Sponsored by the Moreau Community Center, BSA Troop 99, Comfort Mechanics, Village of South Glens Falls, Casella Waste Systems, and Hannaford.
